My name is Marc Schwarz and I am glad you found your way here. I am the founder and owner of blacksales, a sales company with more than 20 years of experience in the market development and distribution of well-known brands such as Alprausch, REEF, Herschel, VANS and TOMS. As a fifth-generation member of a family of sales representatives, my roots lie in the street, skate and urban sector. Due to my long-standing experience, including my former agency blackdistribution, which I jointly managed with another partner, I have established an excellent and very close network within the German retail sector.

My passion is fashion and trends

I have always been interested in fashion and upcoming brands, which I developed into a keen sense for trends and target groups in sportswear, fashion and footwear. In order to be able to provide my clients with optimum advise, competence and passion, it is particularly important to me to work with brands that match my philosophy. I preferably supervise foreign brands aiming to gain a foothold in the German-speaking market. In doing so, I have already successfully established brands such as Herschel, VANS and TOMS.

Consulting and distribution: with passion for the product

The passion for a product and a brand are very much in focus of my work. Therefore, my portfolio includes only brands I can identify with. The personal and continuous contact with my clients is essential: together with my team I regularly attend trade fairs and pay my clients visits. Further, it is important to me to not stand still but instead to continuously develop my professional skills.

Key to success through customized marketing and distribution concepts

Due to my large network throughout Europe and North America I can specifically choose a suitable retailer for particular brand products. Most frequently I guide foreign and still unknown brands that require marketing and distribution advise in their entry into the German-speaking market. In doing so, I have already assisted brands such as Diesel Footwear, PONY, TOMS, Herschel and REEF and have successfully established them in Germany.

I have been successfully working in the fashion industry for more than 20 years. Further, I have supervised numerous international labels in the past and have established them in the German-speaking region. These include inter alia Diesel Footwear, PONY, TOMS, Herschel and NAUTICA. Current clients include United by Blue as well as VARG, for which I exclusively oversee their entry and development in the German-speaking region.

Long-term clients in the past included Action Sports GmbH, for which I have represented and supervised numerous US brands such as Diesel Footwear, PONY, TOMS, Herschel and Levis Footwear.

Distribution by blacksales: close networking in the footwear, streetwear, sport and fashion sector

Due to my extensive professional experience in footwear, fashion and sports, I possess excellent contacts within the German and European retail sector. This allows me to develop strategies tailored to the needs of various labels and find suitable shops for new products. I have built up an impressive network especially in the footwear, but also in sports and in the fashion sector. I have been working successfully with agents in the brand environment for many years and have positioned numerous brands and new products in Germany. My long-term collaboration with brands such as REEF, Alprausch and Herschel speaks for itself.

New paths to success

As one of the first companies in Europe, I have successfully positioned TOMS in Germany – a brand with a whole new sales approach. I have also advised Urbanears. Our partnership has embarked on a new course – for the first time, headphones have been marketed within the trend and streetwear retail sector and not through electrical supply stores. The urban outdoor trend increases continually, which can currently be seen. In line with this, I have been advising United by Blue, one of the leading brands in the sector, since 2017 with the aim to establish them in the German market.

Showroom: blacksales over a surface of 250 m²

Since 2018 you can find us in our new, open-plan showroom based on the 6th floor of the Haus der Konfektion (The Manufacture House) in Sindelfingen, which we have curated with a great attention to detail. As particularly suited to our brands and their relation to outdoor life, sustainability and nature, wood and natural colours play a major part in the setting.

I am a full-time employee at blacksales and have extensive experience in external services and the retail sector. Further, I was a part of the JOCKS’ team for many years. I love my dog Wood, who accompanies me to work every day and I’m passionate about snowboarding and stand-up paddling.

Tina Mazur

As an integral part of the team, I really enjoy working at blacksales. In addition, together with a friend I manufacture ‘Lei Supply Cases’ and I’m in the process of setting up my own little business. The Lei Cases are also available in our blacksales’ showroom.
